Soft Tissue Repair
Soft tissue injuries (sprains and strains) are likely to involve muscles, ligaments, joints, cartilage and tendons as well as complex structures such as the inter-vertebral discs. Most soft tissue injuries should improve quickly. Delayed recovery is associated with considerable personal suffering. To help the patient get better sooner, soft tissue healing provides early and timely management of the injury, monitoring of progress, awareness of the factors that increase the risk of delayed recovery, knowledge of challenges in the return to sport process and promoting early return to sport and self-management where possible.
