Counselling

Counselling is like a journey you take with your counsellor. Each journey is unique because this is your personal process.

During this journey you can explore thoughts which have been troubling you; feelings which you have been unable to face or make sense of alone; behaviours which feel like they stop you from moving forward; difficulties that are affecting you, your life and your relationships. As a counsellor, Eeva will help you to process your experiences by building a safe and healing therapeutic relationship with you. “I give you space, understanding and support to start your travels”. On this journey you will see things differently and feel empowered to choose which paths to take. Counselling can help with a wide range of issues and experiences, including emotional distress, mental ill health, life changes, traumatic events, physical health issues, addictions, and relationship difficulties with a partner, family members, friends or work colleagues; anything that is troubling you. we are not here to diagnose you but to hear what your experience is like. Our counsellor Eeva, has a special interest in addictions. For years she has worked with clients who suffer from alcohol dependency - both psychological and physical. She has also worked with clients who have issues with drugs, food, co-dependent relationships, gambling, internet, games, and work. Eeva strongly believes that these addictions are coping mechanisms to escape from underlying unpleasant feelings. Addictions can easily become habitual hence it is important to explore the underlying issues in order to break the dysfunctional pattern. If your alcohol or drug use is heavy and daily, it would be advisable you reduce the use with the help of a professional.
